CARIA. Uncertain. 5th century BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.66 g, 4 h). Facing gorgoneion, surrounded by four wings in tilted clockwise rotation. Rev. Harpy to right within incuse square. De Luynes 2751 = Imhoof-Blumer, MG, p. 466 = 39 Traité II, 1606 and pl. CXLV, 1. Leu Web Auction 9 (2019), 377. Extremely rare, especially as a drachm. A beautifully toned and attractive piece. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
